The hedgehogs in particular became our coping mechanism. They were our favourite way to defuse the stress we were in and to make each other laugh. We secretly would hide them in places where the other might look to surprise them, or sneak around and place them in such a possition where it would seem like they came on their own....we of course threw it at each others heads at times because why not. Hell, we even decorated the Christmas tree with them!
Now, we took a hard decision: we need to get rid of at least two thirds of the plushies we own, hedgies included, because they are simply too many. But it felt wrong just throwing all of them in a bag ready for giving away without something to remember them by. Yes, they are toys. But the moral support that we got from them is precious and helped us pull through. So a good picture of them was mandatory...goodbye, you little hilarious floofbutts! We'll miss you dearly!
